The Cosmo story

Whilst restoring this old Georgian property, we uncovered documents that named Sir Henry Cosmo Bonsor as a past owner within the deeds. Cosmo was an esteemed man of his time, the first Baronet, a conservative MP and director of Guys Hospital; he also was chairman of Watney Combe & Reid and South Eastern Railway.

Bonsor was a public benefactor and loved for his kindness and generosity to all.

We wanted to include Cosmo with the story, and it fits perfectly within the aspirations we have for the City of Wolverhampton.
Inspired by this, we returned the clock to 1910, when Cosmo was in
his prime.

Cosmo – the venue

Cosmo Bonsor is a private members club based on the cobbled streets of Wolverhampton, nestled near St. Johns Church. The bar is 2,000 sq ft and themed in the decadent Edwardian era. With rich colours and a stunning curved bar, Cosmo is an elegant return to a period with an appreciation for the finer things. The ambience is enhanced by intelligent lighting and sound. Moving past the bar, we have a lovely courtyard area that is partially enclosed and flooded with light.

The venue is the perfect location for a business meeting, date night or entertaining friends or family. Cosmo fits perfectly within the City, giving Wolverhampton a premium and aspirational venue without pretence.

DO YOU SPEAK COSMO?

Step back to an Edwardian era of Gents and Ladies, where you'll know you're Arfarfan-arf from you're Nanty-Narkin!
